A GUIDE TO CHOOSE 3PL COMPANIES IN BANGALORE

TABLE OF CONTENT:

Why finding the right 3PL in Bangalore is harder in 2026

A third-party logistics (3PL) company runs part or all of your supply chain for you, including warehousing, inventory management, order fulfilment, transport, returns and last-mile delivery. You pay for the space and services you use instead of leasing, staffing and equipping your own warehouse.

Bangalore is now one of India's fastest-growing warehousing markets. It is South India's main consumption hub, home to many quick-commerce and D2C brands, and a manufacturing base for electronics, auto components and aerospace. That growth causes four problems for brands choosing a 3PL:

  • Space near the city is tight and getting more expensive. Grade A vacancy was 2.2% at the end of Q2 2026. Land prices rose 9–10% in H1 2026 alone, which pushes new supply further out to Nelamangala, Dabaspete and beyond Hoskote.
  • The wrong corridor costs you on every shipment. A warehouse in bangalore on Tumkur Road serving customers in Whitefield and Hosur crosses the city on every delivery run, and city traffic plus heavy-vehicle time windows can turn a 40 km trip into a half-day.
  • "3PL" covers very different businesses. A courier company with a fulfilment add-on, a contract-logistics firm built for automotive plants and an asset-light warehousing network are all called 3PLs, but they suit very different clients.
  • Pricing is hard to compare. Quotes mix per-sq-ft, per-pallet, per-order and per-unit pricing, so a quote that looks cheap often isn't once inbound, packaging and returns are added.

The rest of this guide tackles each problem: who the main providers are, what they cost, where to locate, and how to compare them on equal terms.

Bangalore warehousing market snapshot (2026)

Metric Latest Figure Source
Warehouse Leasing, H1 2026 3.1 mn sq ft (+78% YoY) Cushman & Wakefield
Net Absorption, Q2 2026 3.9 mn sq ft (2× previous quarter) JLL

Recent large leases support these rents. DHL Supply Chain took about 2.4 lakh sq ft in Hoskote at a starting rent of about ₹23.50/sq ft. Amazon took about 2.78 lakh sq ft in Nelamangala at about ₹26.25/sq ft.

Top 10 3PL companies in Bangalore: comparison table

This table compares Bangalore's most widely used 3PL providers on the factors buyers ask about most: provider type, best-fit customer, core services and limitations.

Disclosure:Godamwale publishes this guide and lists itself first. The other nine are listed in no particular order. We've included each provider's limitations so you can compare them fairly.

Company Core Services in Bangalore Consider Before Choosing
Godamwale Flexible warehousing, B2B & D2C fulfilment, quick-commerce replenishment, C&F, in-house WMS Does not run its own pan-India courier fleet; works with courier partners for last mile
TVS Supply Chain Solutions In-plant logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding, integrated supply chain Built for enterprise programmes; usually not cost-effective for small or seasonal volumes
Mahindra Logistics Multi-client and built-to-suit warehousing, transport, reverse logistics Long contracts and higher minimum volumes are common
DTDC Courier, fulfilment, last-mile delivery Warehousing is an add-on to courier; less suited to complex B2B or bulk storage
Ecom Express (Now part of Delhivery) Ecommerce express and returns, now being merged into Delhivery's network New buyers should evaluate Delhivery directly; existing users should confirm contract entity and SLAs
Shadowfax Hyperlocal, same-day and next-day delivery, reverse pickups Primarily a delivery partner, not a warehousing 3PL; pair it with a storage partner
Delhivery Express parcel, part-truckload freight, warehousing, cross-border Standard processes can be less flexible for custom B2B or kitting work
Blue Dart Express Air and ground express, time-definite delivery, B2B logistics Premium pricing; not a warehousing-first provider
Gati (Merged into Allcargo Logistics) Surface express, part-truckload, warehousing, distribution Contracts now sit with Allcargo Logistics; check current SLAs and contacts
XpressBees Express delivery, fulfilment, B2B, reverse logistics, cross-border —

Which type of 3PL do you actually need?

Most poor 3PL choices start with comparing the wrong kind of provider. Decide which category you need first, then compare providers within it.

Your Situation 3PL Type to Shortlist Examples Above Typical Commercial Model
Need flexible storage + B2B/D2C fulfilment, volumes change month to month Warehousing-led / asset-light 3PL Godamwale ₹/sq ft or ₹/pallet storage + per-order or per-unit handling
Large manufacturing plant, inbound parts, in-plant logistics Integrated contract logistics TVS SCS, Mahindra Logistics Multi-year contract, cost-plus or fixed + variable
Main need is shipping parcels to customers across India Courier-led ecommerce 3PL Delhivery, XpressBees, DTDC Per-shipment freight by weight and zone; fulfilment as an add-on
Same-day or 2-hour delivery within Bangalore Hyperlocal last-mile partner Shadowfax Per-drop or per-km pricing
Time-critical, high-value or regulated shipments Premium express Blue Dart Per-shipment premium freight
Bulk B2B movement to distributors across states Surface express / part-truckload Allcargo Gati, Delhivery freight Per-kg or per-load freight

Many growing brands combine two: a warehousing 3PL for storage and fulfilment, connected to one or more courier partners for delivery. This avoids depending on a single carrier and lets you choose a courier per lane by cost and delivery performance.

3PL costs in Bangalore: rent and fulfilment benchmarks

Warehouse rent by location (₹ per sq ft per month)

Fulfilment charges: what a 3PL bills you for

Charge How It Is Billed Indicative Range (Bangalore) What Changes It
Storage Per sq ft or per pallet per month ₹20–35 / sq ft · ₹450–900 / pallet Grade, location, temperature control, rack height
Inbound / GRN Per unit, carton or truck ₹0.50–2 / unit Barcode-ready stock, ASN accuracy, loose vs palletised
Pick & Pack (B2C) Per order + per extra unit ₹10–25 / order Units per order, SKU count, gift-wrap or inserts
B2B Order Handling Per carton or per invoice ₹8–20 / carton Labelling, ASN or appointment requirements of the buyer
Packaging Material Per order (actuals or fixed) ₹8–45 / order Box size, branded packaging, fragile protection
Returns / RTO Processing Per unit ₹10–25 / unit Quality-check depth, refurbish or repack
Value-Added Services Per unit or per task ₹1–10 / unit Kitting, labelling, MRP stickering, bundling
WMS / Integrations Monthly fee or included ₹0–15,000 / month Number of channels; marketplace and ERP connectors

Indicative ranges. Base.com puts D2C fulfilment labour at ₹12–35 per order and packaging at ₹8–45 per order. Always ask for a full rate card and model it against your own order profile.

Worked example: what a 6,000-order-a-month D2C brand pays

Profile: a personal-care brand with 400 SKUs, about 1.5 units per order, 10% returns and roughly 3,000 sq ft of storage in Nelamangala.

Cost Line Calculation Monthly Cost
Storage 3,000 sq ft × ₹26 ₹78,000
Inbound 12,000 units × ₹1 ₹12,000
Pick & Pack 6,000 orders × ₹15 ₹90,000
Packaging 6,000 orders × ₹12 ₹72,000
Returns Processing 600 units × ₹15 ₹9,000
WMS / Integrations Flat ₹5,000
Total (excluding shipping) ₹2,66,000 ≈ ₹44 per order

Running the same operation in-house typically means a 3,000 sq ft lease plus a security deposit (often 6–10 months' rent), racking and equipment, 5–7 pickers and packers, a supervisor, WMS licences, security and utilities. You also pay that staff and rent in slow months. For most brands below about 15,000–20,000 orders a month, the 3PL model costs less in total and needs far less cash upfront.

Which Bangalore corridor should your warehouse be in?

Choose the location based on where your orders go, not where rent is lowest. A cheaper warehouse in the wrong corridor often costs more overall once delivery is included.

Corridor Key Micro-Markets Best For Trade-Off
West / North-West (Tumkur Road, NH48) Nelamangala, Dasanapura, Makali, Dabaspete Pan-Karnataka and Maharashtra distribution; large-format and FMCG stock; the biggest corridor by leasing (52%) Long, slow runs to East Bangalore and Electronic City for same-day delivery
East (Old Madras Road, NH75) Hoskote, KR Puram outskirts Whitefield and East Bangalore customers, plus Chennai, Kolar and Andhra Pradesh lanes Rents are rising quickly with institutional demand
North (Airport, NH44) Devanahalli, Doddaballapur Air cargo, electronics, high-value and North Bangalore flows Fewer ready-to-move small units
South (Hosur Road, NH44) Attibele, Bommasandra, Hosur Electronic City, South Bangalore and Tamil Nadu Hosur is in Tamil Nadu, so check GST and state permits
In-city / Dark Stores Peenya, HSR, Koramangala, Whitefield pockets Quick-commerce, 2-hour and same-day delivery Highest rent per sq ft and time windows for heavy vehicles

Rule of thumb: if more than 60% of your orders are in Bangalore city, consider a hub-and-spoke setup. Keep bulk stock in a lower-rent corridor hub and fast-moving SKUs in a small in-city node.

How to choose and onboard a 3PL in Bangalore: step by step

  1. Document your order profile (Day 1–3). Monthly orders and their seasonal peak, units per order, SKU count, B2B/B2C split, average weight and size, where customers are by pin code, and storage needs (ambient, cold or hazardous).
  2. Decide the 3PL type and corridor (Day 3–5). Use the two tables above. Shortlist 3–4 providers of the same type.
  3. Issue a standard RFQ (Day 5–10). Send every provider the same order profile and ask for a rate card that covers storage, inbound, pick-pack, packaging, returns, VAS and tech. Comparing like-for-like quotes is the only fair test.
  4. Visit the actual warehouse (Day 10–15). Check dock levellers, clear height, fire NOC, CCTV, racking, cleanliness and live stock accuracy. Ask to see a real cycle-count report.
  5. Agree on SLAs and penalties (Day 15–20). Typical benchmarks: same-day dispatch for orders received before an agreed cut-off, at least 99.5% inventory accuracy, at least 99.8% order accuracy, and inbound processed (GRN) within 24–48 hours.
  6. Handle compliance and integration (Day 15–25). Add the warehouse to your GST registration as an APOB (Additional Place of Business). Connect your marketplaces, website and ERP to the 3PL's WMS, and test labels and invoices.
  7. Go live with a pilot (Day 25–30). Start with your top 20% of SKUs. Review the first two weeks of dispatch, accuracy and return data before moving the full range.

Questions to ask every 3PL before you sign

  • What is your inventory accuracy from the last 3 months of cycle counts, and can I see the report?
  • What is the order cut-off time for same-day dispatch, and what was your on-time rate during the last sale season?
  • Which charges are not on this rate card? Ask about minimum billing, peak surcharges, the cost of leaving the contract, and per-integration fees.
  • What is the minimum contract term and notice period?
  • Who is liable for damage or shrinkage, up to what value, and is the stock insured?
  • Can I see live inventory and order status in a dashboard, or only in weekly reports?
  • If I outgrow this space, can you add capacity in Bangalore and in other cities?

3PL evaluation scorecard

Score each shortlisted provider from 1 to 5 on each factor, multiply by the weight and add up the results. Adjust the weights to suit your business. For example, a pharma brand should weight compliance higher and a quick-commerce brand should weight location higher.

Factor Weight What a "5" Looks Like
Location Fit 20% Warehouse sits in the corridor closest to most of your orders
Total Cost per Order 20% Lowest all-in cost on your real order profile, not just the lowest headline rate
Operational Track Record 20% Proven at least 99.5% inventory accuracy and on-time dispatch, with references from your category
Technology & Integration 15% Live WMS dashboard; ready connectors for your marketplaces, website and ERP
Flexibility & Scalability 15% Can add space for peak season and set up in other cities; short or flexible terms
Compliance & Safety 10% Fire NOC, insurance, FSSAI or drug licence where needed, GST APOB support

What we've learned running 3PL warehouses in Bangalore

Godamwale runs and manages more than 5 lakh sq ft of warehouse space across Bangalore. These are the issues we see most often when brands set up or move their operations:

Insight 1 · Inbound is the hidden bottleneck

Brands focus on dispatch speed, but most stock problems start at inbound. Without barcodes on the stock and a list of what's arriving before the truck reaches the dock, receiving takes 2–3 times longer, and miscounts at this stage cause stock errors later. Send barcoded, palletised stock with an advance list and stock goes live the same day.

Insight 2 · Choose the corridor by order destination, not rent

A ₹3/sq ft saving on 5,000 sq ft is ₹15,000 a month. If the cheaper site adds even ₹5 per order in delivery cost or misses next-day cut-offs on 6,000 orders, you lose ₹30,000 or more. Map your pin codes before you visit any site.

Insight 3 · Plan for peak season in August, not October

Bangalore space for the festive season and big sales gets booked months in advance. Agree on extra peak space and temporary staff in your contract upfront, rather than hunting for space in October.

Insight 4 · Register the GST APOB before the first truck arrives

Missing APOB registration is the most common reason a Bangalore go-live slips. Start the GST amendment as soon as the agreement is signed, because marketplaces won't enable a new fulfilment location without it.

Insight 5 · Hub-and-spoke beats one big warehouse for city-heavy brands

D2C and quick-commerce brands with most demand inside Bangalore get better delivery speed and lower total cost from a corridor hub feeding small in-city nodes than from one large warehouse on the outskirts.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cost of 3PL warehousing in Bangalore in 2026?

Warehouse space on Bangalore's main corridors usually costs ₹20–35 per sq ft per month. Grade B space in Nelamangala sits at the lower end, and Grade A or temperature-controlled space in Hoskote sits at the higher end. JLL put the citywide average at ₹24.7/sq ft in Q2 2026. Fulfilment such as pick-pack, packaging and returns is billed separately, typically ₹10–25 per order for pick-pack.

Which is the best 3PL company in Bangalore?

There is no single best provider; it depends on your model. Asset-light warehousing 3PLs such as Godamwale suit growing brands that need flexible space and fulfilment. TVS Supply Chain Solutions and Mahindra Logistics suit large manufacturing supply chains. Delhivery, XpressBees and DTDC suit courier-led ecommerce. Shadowfax suits same-day hyperlocal delivery.

Which area in Bangalore is best for a warehouse?

Nelamangala, Dasanapura and Dabaspete (Tumkur Road) suit west and pan-Karnataka distribution. Hoskote suits East Bangalore, Chennai and Andhra Pradesh. Hosur Road and Attibele suit Electronic City and Tamil Nadu. Devanahalli suits airport-linked flows. Choose based on where most of your orders go.

What is the minimum space I can take with a 3PL in Bangalore?

Shared 3PL warehouses can start at a few hundred sq ft or a few pallet positions. Dedicated space typically starts at 2,000–5,000 sq ft. Godamwale's Bangalore network currently lists units from 2,000 sq ft.

How long does it take to start with a 3PL in Bangalore?

Ready-to-move shared space with standard integrations typically takes 2–4 weeks from first call to first dispatch. Dedicated or customised setups take 6–10 weeks.

Do I need GST registration for a 3PL warehouse in Karnataka?

Yes. If you store and sell goods from a Karnataka warehouse, add it to your GST registration as an Additional Place of Business (APOB). If you have no Karnataka GSTIN yet, you need to register in Karnataka.

Is it cheaper to use a 3PL or run my own warehouse?

Below roughly 15,000–20,000 orders a month or about 10,000 sq ft of steady storage, a 3PL is usually cheaper. You avoid deposits, racking and equipment costs, idle staff in slow months and software licences. At very large and stable volumes, a dedicated warehouse can cost the same or less.

Can a 3PL in Bangalore handle both B2B and D2C orders?

Warehousing-led 3PLs typically handle both from one stock pool: bulk retail, distributor and quick-commerce dark-store replenishment alongside individual D2C and marketplace orders. Courier-led 3PLs are generally stronger on D2C parcels than complex B2B.

What happened to Ecom Express and Gati?

Delhivery completed its acquisition of Ecom Express in July 2025 and now holds about 99.87%. Allcargo Gati was merged into Allcargo Logistics effective November 2025. Existing customers should confirm their current contract entity and SLAs.

Conclusion

Bangalore's 3PL market is growing quickly. Leasing rose 78% in H1 2026 and Grade A vacancy is close to 2%, so brands that pick the right type of 3PL in the right corridor on a like-for-like cost comparison save money on every order. Start with your order profile, shortlist providers of the same type, compare all-in cost per order, and test with a pilot before moving all your stock.

If you want that analysis done for your business, request a Bangalore 3PL cost estimate from Godamwale . You'll get matched warehouses and an itemised cost per order within 24 hours.
